Who are you calling un-American?

Does anyone else find the comments that Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer, Harry Reid, ACORN, the White House, etc have been hurled at the Health Care demonstrators (I am labeling us as demonstrators from now on because the left has been using the word protesters to imply that we are 100% against Health Care or Health Insurance reform which is entirely untrue) ironic? I am not referring to the hypocrisy of encouraging the hateful and often violent Bush protesters; I am referring to the fact that on the campaign trail Michelle Obama exclaimed that she had "never been proud of her country", well not until her husband was named the next DNC nominee for President of the United States of America. Wow, Madam First Lady you really do have high standards!. You must be hard to buy for at Christmas.

Then there is everyone’s favorite “evil monger” (et al Harry Reid) Reverend Wright screaming “GOD DAMN AMERICA!” Now there’s a true American hero!

And who wouldn’t be filled with national pride when Bill Ayers and his Weather Underground conducted a campaign of bombing public buildings during the 1960s and 1970s? Undercover FBI agent Larry Grathwohl stated "The thing, the most bone chilling thing Bill Ayers said to me was that after the revolution succeeded and the government was overthrown, they believed they would have to eliminate 25 million Americans who would not conform to the new order." “YES WE CAN!”

How about our illustrious Speaker of the House and her views illegal immigrants:

When our President went on the 2009 World Apology Tour didn’t you just want to wave the American flag and break out in song? I'm a Yankee doodle dandy... I’m surprised that he didn’t offer to use American tax dollars to reimburse Al Qaeda for the flight lessons that the September 11th hijackers had to take.

As I did with the definition of “free market” and the purpose of Homeland Security, I must have misunderstood what being an American means. See I thought it meant pride in your country, paying your taxes and defending the Constitution and the rights of the American people. Watching the demonstrators last week I did indeed assume that they were behaving as true American’s. Silly me.

Fortunately I have been set straight and I now realize that being a good American means
Dodging your taxes
Blowing up Federal Buildings
Plotting to over throw the government
Insulting the American people
Bankrupting the country
Leaving our borders open for any one to move right on in (but only if you don't intend to pay taxes)
Ignoring the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
etc...

Can they be stopped?

The folks in Washington aren't taking into consideration 1 giant factor. Over 6 million Americans are out of work. They have a lot of time on their hands & they are scared, so what do they do? They turn on the news looking for any hope on the horizon. All they see on the other stations is the Obama love fest & that the Stimulus is working, but they sure aren't seeing or feeling it. They see that Obama basically bought GM to save union jobs & they wonder why he thinks the union jobs are more important than their own. They see the government giving people with money & decent credit $4,500 for new cars while 32 million Americans are now on food stamps. So what do they do? They start flipping around & they stumble upon Fox News - the evil empire! Strangely, what they hear on Fox is making some sense, and the talking heads don't seem so horrible (personally I am a big fan of Stuart Varney. I don't know if it's the accent or what, I just like him). They hear that our government is spending us into oblivion & wants to spend still more to provide health care for illegal’s & people who chose not to purchase health insurance (see $4500 for new cars). Then there’s the Czar's doing God knows what & getting paid with tax payer money, (Here a Czar there a Czar every where a Czar Czar) and that doesn't sound quite right; doesn't the president already have a Cabinet? So they watch some more. Of course the nation is paying attention! None of this seems right, or legal for that matter. Any sane minded American can't help but wonder, "What is happening to our country?"

How do the people we elected to represent us handle it? Instead of taking responsibility for this debacle they call us Nazi's, unAmerican, Brown Shirts, angry mobs, thugs, & whatever else. What a bizarre tactic! Did they really think that that was going to help? Yes, please call me just a few more names; you almost have me convinced that you all know what you're doing and I do need more government in my life. Their extreme arrogance leads them to think that they are smarter than all of us & simply will not accept that we've had enough.

They have all admitted that they don't even read the bills that they sign into law. The White House wants us to turn in our friends and neighbors that may speak against our dear leader (sorry you can't convince me otherwise. Their choice of words says it all). I know that the Democrats control both the House and the Senate, but did they really think we weren't going to notice all the crap they are trying to pull? Yes, as a matter of fact they did.

Clearly they are all completely out of touch with the American people. Ordering a $500 million worth of unnecessary luxury jets. Giving themselves pay raises. Their unwillingness to sign on to the public health option that they want to push the rest of us into, etc. That's just Congress.

Dear Leader has his very own set of issues. I fondly recall the Special Olympics comment during that truly Presidential appearance on Jay Leno. Closing Gitmo with no plan. Myranda Rights on the battle field! What the hell is that? Oooo does everyone remember way back in March, like a Trillion dollars ago or so when the national economy was in free fall? Remember how our President raised the spirits of a nation by showing us that he was working very hard... on his NCAA March Madness picks? He can multitask you know. And now he is going to be the first guest on the new George Lopez late night talk show on TBS. He even did a commercial with Mr. Lopez to publicize the occasion. http://www.lopeztonight.com/. Ahhh, what an inspiration. Does our president have something against the Oval Office? Seriously, I am really asking.

However, the American people have to take their share of the blame too. I know that President Obama has a base of followers that do think of him as a Messianic figure; but why did presumably intelligent people voted for this man? It's funny that people are so surprised about the social engineering that we ridiculously call Health Care/Insurance Reform. He told America for 2 years on the campaign trail what he intended to do! Health care, cap & trade, Afganistan.... Weren't you listening? America we did this to ourselves by voting in the extreme faction of the far left. How did you all think it was going to turn out?

I am starting to believe that the Messiah is in over his head. It appears that President Obama and all of Congress were completely caught off guard by the reactions they received when they got home for the August recess. They still can't allow themselves to believe that they were wrong so they have to call people names and drum up giant conspiracy theories to explain away the anger and fear of the American people. Now the President is on the ropes and trying to do damage control. I'm sorry but I don't believe the President when he says that he doesn't want America to ultimately have a single payer system - we watched him say it! He clearly thinks we’re stupid. Is he a Jedi? Well his mind tricks aren't working on us. Or is he the Wizard of Oz? "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain".

I have to admit that I am a little concerned though. The president keeps talking about this rash of Joseph Mengele like doctors. The ones performing unnecessary amputations and tonsillectomies on small children for monetary gain. Dear Lord! I had no idea! Can they be stopped? Is Obamacare our only hope for putting an end to this madness? Surely, there must be another way!

I am going to have to do some investigating.

What the hell happend?

I will say one thing for President Obama, he certainly knows how to keep things interesting. As I watch daily events unfold I cannot help but wonder what it would be like to wake up from a 4, 8 or even 15 year coma to find myself in this new Obama nation. I imagine that one day of watching the news would prompt me to ask, "What the hell happened?”

• Conservatives are protesting
  

• Welfare moms are living in luxury condos in NY
  

• Millionaires are broke, unemployed and out on the street
  

• Water to CA almond farms has been cut off leaving 1000's unemployed. Why you ask? To save a 1 inch fish that isn't even indigenous to the area.
  

• The logging industry in the Pacific Northwest is dead because tree huggers are more concerned about hurting the trees than they are about people's lives.
  

• The US government owns General Motors and China owns the US government
  

• We have a tax cheat as our Treasury Secretary and head of the IRS
  

• Taxpayer money is funding porn
  

• Soldiers are required to read Miranda Rights to the the enemy on the battle field. What the hell is that?
  

• We are closing a perfectly good, multi-billion dollar prison that is tucked away safely in Cuba so we can bring the scariest of the scary terrorists to American soil. Wait, I forgot according to the Secretary of Homeland Security they are not terrorists anymore they are bringers of man made disasters or something. The only true terrorists are the Americans who dare question the mighty Messiah. Here I thought Homeland Security was created to protect us from terrorists or was it that we needed to protect ourselves from ourselves? Sorry, I get so confused. It's lucky that I have the Obama government to think for me, I don't know how I would manage without my big brother watching over me.

• Our President, Speaker of the House, and many other we put into office have adopted the bizarre strategy of insulting the American people in order to gain support for their liberal agenda.
  

I could literally go on all day. Welcome to Bizzaro America where nothing is as it should be. Common sense is dead, war has been declared on prosperity and perhaps the saddest part of all... the American dream is fast becoming a fleeting memory. Each morning I wake up and the first thing I do is turn on the news. All day long I watch the Obama administration ignore our Constitution as they lead us down the road to soft tyranny, and they are doing it at break neck speed. I can't pull myself away. It is nothing short of astonishing and I I admit, I am completely addicted. Everyday there is something new and it's playing out for the whole world to see. What makes it so mesmerizing is that EVERYONE can see it and nobody seems to be doing much to stop it. It's truly fascinating. What a great time to be alive.

Our President is certainly a gifted communicator with a talent that comes along once in a generation, if that. He is the master of telling people one thing while he is very clearly doing something else. But he does it with a charming smile, so it's OK. One of the most glaring examples of this is the Federal Government take over of General Motors. He stood before the country (and the world) and stated that he had no desire to nationalize the automaker or the auto industry. OK Mr. President, so why did you? He not only fired the GM CEO Rick Wagoner, and replaced him with Fritz Henderson (this is causes concern because of Mr. Henderson's past dealings with WH Chief of Staff, Rahm "never let a good crisis go to waste" Emanuel. It would appear that Mr. Henderson made Mr. Emanuel a very rich man via Freddie MAC, which we also own), he appointed a Car Czar, he is telling GM what cars they can make, they decided that dealerships needed to be shut down, he bypassed the legal bankruptcy process while vilifying investors for questioning him and not accepting his terms. He told Americans that "he does not stand" with the investors who wouldn't accept $0.29 on the dollar as he so ordered it - wait sorry that was the Chrysler investors. Yet another company that he had no desire to take over. There was an entirely different group of people who invested in GM and had the honor of being screwed over and ridiculed by their President. Can you imagine how it would have been if he DID want to nationalize the auto industry? Sadly, President Obama has shown us that this would not be the last time he'd attack the American people who did not obeying him. He gave UAW a seat on the board, which I am still baffled by. The Unions are supposed to be for the laborers and management is not allowed to be in a Union, so how is that UAW can be part of Board of Directors and still represent the workers? I am not nearly as smart as our President so I'm sure this is all on the up and up. He was doing all this while he insisted that he believes in the free market. Huh? One of us is confused about the definition of free market. No worries, I'm sure it's me again. He did this to save jobs he claimed, a noble reason to turn America a socialist nation, right? Billions were shoveled into GM while other poor souls were left to fend for themselves. We were losing almost 750K jobs a week in March and 1 out of every 9 homes was being foreclosed on. Thank goodness UAW was taken care of though. I know the folks that lost everything feel better knowing that the government was there for the United Auto Workers. Now they can continue to make crappy, over priced cars that nobody wants. Phew! Don't you love a happy ending?

Our very talented President also has an uncanny ability to tell you exactly what he's doing while making it sound like he is saying something else. Case in point, Afghanistan. I watched all of the 2008 debates, the primaries for both parties and of course in the general election for the VP & presidential candidates. I heard him say that he never thought invading Iraq was a good idea. Everyone heard that part, but somehow they all missed it moments later when he said that he intended to have us more engaged in Afghanistan. I heard it and didn't necessarily disagree, yet for some reason many Obama voters were shocked when he announce that the US would be we would be spending billions more on the initiative and sending 10's of 1000's of troops to that God forsaken country. In fact he has requested more money for Afghanistan in 2010 than he requested for Iraq. It's Obama's war now baby. Where are ,and Sean Penn I wonder?

He vowed to have the most transparent administration in US history, yet he has all of these Czar's running around doing God knows what and answering to no one but him. Is that even Constitutional? See I'm a bit of a history junkie and a fan of James Madison. He was a smart little guy who was our 4th President and the chief writer of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Madison was very concerned about checks and balances and warned against the Executive Branch in particular becoming too powerful. All of our Founding Fathers were weary of the Executive Branch devolving into an Imperial Presidency. After all there was precedent. Julius Caesar was another gifted communicator who's words and ideas resonated with the people of Rome and scared the hell out of the Roman Senators and aristocracy. He tried to usurp the Roman Senate and proclaim himself Dictator for Life of Rome. He reigned over all of Rome for brief period (4 years, hmmm) but as we know, that didn't work out very well for him in the end. Caesar did alter the course of Roman government forever though; his death did not restore Rome to the traditional status quo system as the murderous Senators had hoped. This sort of power grab has been happening since the dawn of man; Napoleon, Mussolini, yes, even Hitler (and no, I am not suggesting that President Obama is a murderous mad man. A megalomaniac yes, psycho no) are some of the most notorious examples. Applying history to the current Obama administration one can't help but wonder how our Senators (and Congressmen) will deal with our very own modern day Caesar.

Our President makes me nervous. He is a very dangerous man with very dangerous friends and philosophies. I am not sure why the good people (ha!) in Congress aren't screaming their fool heads off. Nobody seems to be paying attention while he appoints Czar after Czar, quietly and systematically building his 2 tier government that will ultimately make Congress obsolete.

So back to the original point: Just imagine waking from a coma to this new Bizzaro America? One could only wonder, "What the hell happened?"
